2 Great Things to Do in Venezuela

Wine is synonymous with Italy, France, and Spain, but Venezuela is really not that far behind these countries. It’s quickly catching up to them and will soon assume the mantle of one of the top wine-producing regions of the world; some say it already is. Roux Luxury Travel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, certainly agrees with this, and so do our customers.

Being a full-service travel agency has its perks, and to us, one of the best ones is the opportunity to make people happy by booking their vacations in some of the world’s most fun and exotic places. Venezuela deserves to be on this list as much as any other great country does. We’ve done you a favor and compiled a list of fun things to do once you land in Venezuela.

Gawk at Angel Falls (Saito Angel)

Angels Falls, at an incredible height of 3,212ft and an equally shocking plunge of 2,648 ft, is easily the highest waterfall on the entire planet-this is no exaggeration. The waterfall is also uninterrupted.

If you think Angel Fall’s description sounds amazing, you should go see it in person. You’ll be shocked, amazed and awed in equal parts. You can find it at the Caima National Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It’s a great place to visit because you’ll be able to appreciate nature’s stark beauty without any interruptions. A tour guide will enlighten you on interesting facts about the waterfall. Your visit there won’t be limited to just looking at the falls, too, because you can go kayaking, hiking or simply explore the area and see the exotic fauna and flora.

Try Not to Get Lost in the Bararida Zoological and Botanical Park

Angel Falls is great, but this park can give it a run for its money. It’s more than 50 years old and is arguably one of the country’s most family-friendly places to visit, so that’s a plus for you if you’re bringing the whole family on the vacation.

Because the park doubles as a zoo, you get an opportunity to see the best of both worlds. The animals number up to 8000, with more than half of them on the list of near-extinct animals, and seeing them is a rarity on its own. Don’t you feel special already? And there are over 150 unique plant species too, so avid lovers of plants and all things green should feel just at home.
