· Bicycle Country

The majority of northern and central Europe is riddled with bicycles and Belgium continues this tradition. It matters little whether you’re staying in a bike-friendly city or not because everywhere in Belgium has cyclists speeding past. With that being said, you have to be careful when walking or strolling, lest one of these speedsters knock you down.

These cyclists move very fast, and with headphones shoved deep into their eras, they won’t really hear much of what’s going on around them. All this means you should always exercise caution before you cross the road. Look left and right to make sure the coast is clear. Bike lanes also tend to look very much like sidewalks, so you can easily confuse the two. Simply put, when in Belgium, make sure you’re always aware of your surroundings.

· Someone Hold My Beer

If you love beer, then you’ll feel right at home in Belgium. Its bars are always filled up with happy drinkers, but they take it to an entirely new level. The average Alcohol-By-Volume (ABV) of beer is 4.5% in most other places, but Belgians have turned a deaf ear to this. Most of them go over that number. Some of them even double it.

Look up any list of top-ranking Belgian beers and you’ll see that most, if not all, of them have ABV climbing to at least 8% or higher. Be mindful of this when you go into a pub and order some beer. Even if you drink the same amount you’re used to drinking back home, Belgian beer will hit you a lot harder than you would believe.

· City Cards

City Cards re neat little things that give you access to numerous attractions. You can get them in towns or small villages too. Do some research and know what the cards entail; which sights they cover and how long the pass they grant you will last.

A holiday in Belgium can never disappoint. That much we’re sure of. Roux Luxury Travels can easily get you to this lovely country. Call us and we’ll book your vacation in one the world’s most popular holiday spots.
