If you're curious about visiting Cuba, you'll be interested in these new opportunities to visit Havana on newly released cruise itineraries from Royal Caribbean, Oceania, Regent and Norwegian Cruise Lines. Cruising to Cuba is hot, and I'm sure we'll be seeing more options in the near future. Here's a run down of the new itineraries that are available to book now:

Regent Cruise lines is offering two 7-day itineraries with overnight port stops in Havana, one on April 11, 2017 and one on April 18, 2017. The Regent voyages start at $2,999 per person.

Oceania Cruises has three voyages with stops in Cuba: March 7, 21, and 31 of 2017.

And Norwegian Cruise Lines is offering several 4-day Cuba sailings in May of 2017, which will include an overnight stay in Havana. The cruises are on the Norwegian Sky, and pricing starts at just $699 per person and includes alcoholic beverages. To learn more about these all-inclusive sailings, click here to download the flyer.

Royal Caribbean has three itineraries visiting Cuba, April 19, 30 and May 20, 2017.

Azamara also has announced a Cuba sailing, on March 21, 2017 on the Azamara Quest which features an overnight stay in Havana.

If you want to wait until later in the year, Viking Ocean Cruises has announced for sailings which will include Havana. Their dates are November 17 and 24, and December 1 and 8 of 2017. These are 8-day itineraries with an overnight in Havana.

For a more intensive exploration of Cuba, we have several expedition cruise companies who are doing cuba in depth. Examples include Lindblad Expeditions, Zeagrahm Expeditions, and Ponant. Most of these spend 7-10 days exploring different ports around the island.

Academic Arrangements Abroad has Cuba by Sea program from February 18-25, 2017 that is very interesting. On this voyage, you'll cruise the island’s less-developed southern shore, with its rugged mountains, pristine beaches, and well preserved colonial architecture. Discover Santiago, Camagüey, Trinidad, and Cienfuegos, engaging with artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, and other welcoming locals along the way. In Santiago, tour a colonial mansion that is the oldest house in Cuba, and visit a hilltop pilgrimage church dedicated to the country’s patron saint. Wander the winding streets of Camagüey, “the city of churches,” and meet artists in their studios in Trinidad. Conclude with two days in UNESCO-listed Cienfuegos, where a highlight is a private performance by the world-renowned choir Cantores de Cienfuegos. And there's an optional post-cruise tour in Havana available. Pricing starts at $5,995 per person, so this one is a great value! Click here for a flyer with more information.
