You'll find golf courses, other sporty events, historic homes, beaches, and abundant wildlife on diving trips. You can also sample some of the country's world-famous rum while at it. One thing we excel at doing here at Roux Luxury Travels is arranging vacations. So, while you let Roux Luxury Travels in Baton Rouge, Louisiana sort out your Barbados trip for you, here are a couple of places that you should see when you visit. · **The Famous Bathsheba Beach** It's located on Barbados' west coast and is a paradise for surfers and photographers. It is however not safe to swim at because of the region’s rough waters and rock formations. You can still enjoy a beach picnic and fly kites though. · **Carlisle Bay** Carlisle Bay offers calm waters and is the ideal place for a great swim in Barbados. Located on the southwestern coast of Barbados, the Bay's 6 shipwrecks make it a great spot for snorkeling. It offers lots of activities and travelers with children like its calm and clean surroundings. You can also rent whatever you need from diving equipment to umbrellas and more. · **Hunte's Gardens** Located 4 miles to the southwest of Bathsheba Beach, Hunte's Gardens is owned by a Bajun horticulturist known locally for his colorful personality. Enjoy an array of plants and animals like hummingbirds, monkeys and even the owner's dog. Most people suggest that a picnic on the property's grounds is a great way to complete a fulfilling trip. · **Mount Gay Visitor Center** Mount Gay is one of the two commercial producers of rum in Barbados. They offer tours of the visitor’s center where you can watch how Mount Gay rum is produced. You can also sample several kinds of rum at the end of the trip. You will however not find the distilleries at this location. · **Harrison's Cave** Harrison's Cave is one of Barbados' popular attractions. It sits in the middle of the country about 5 miles from Bathsheba Beach and receives the most praise. The admission rates are a little pricey but the limestone cavern with several streams as well as stalagmites, stalactites and other kinds of calcite deposits make it worth the money.
