2 Best Things to Try When in Canada

Canada’s vast size means it will take almost a lifetime to explore it’s every nook and cranny. There’s so much to see and experience in this wonderful county, but there’s very little time to do all that, so Roux Luxury Travels decided to make things easier for you. Being a highly-acclaimed full-service travel agency in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we wrote down a list of great things to do in Canada. If you’re a wine lover, this list is especially intended for you.

  • Have a Drink at Okanagan Valley

The British Columbia has one of the most picturesque valleys we’ve ever seen, so imagine what a wine tour there would be like. It is also one of the world’s fastest-growing wine regions. The large number of wineries range from tiny, family-owned businesses to establishments recognized the world over.

The valley has been selling wine to the rest of the world for a mere 3 decades, but you’ll find a variety of wines there, including whites and reds. Going back to the location of Okanagan Valley, a meandering range of beautiful mountains, lakes and forests all border it. The number of fruit orchards is also something worth mentioning. There are apple, peach, pear orchards and more; visit any of them and have a bite of any fruit you wish.

  • The Lighthouse Route

A scenic drive trail can add excitement and adventure to your vacation because you’re driving through a new country, so you never know what to expect at every corner. You’ll see so many things that only driving around in a car makes possible.

The Lighthouse Route is a drive from the largest city in Nova Scotia (Halifax) and it provides one of the most scenic trails in the entire region. Your first stop should be the lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove. You can’t miss it; the lighthouse was erected atop a massive granite outcrop and was once the first sign ships had of how close they were to Margaret’s Bay. It won’t be folly to say it is easily the most-photographed attraction in Nova Scotia. So, make sure your camera is on the ready.

These are merely two of the dozens of attractions you can visit in Canada. You can hike on the Giant Trail; have as much Mexican food as you want in Aylmer; go on a tour of Canada’s Parliament buildings and so much more. With Roux Luxury Travels, visiting all these places is possible. Call us and we’ll get you to Canada for a truly wonderful vacation.
