3 Amazing Places to Visit in Turkey

Imagine you could go on a trip to two different continents at the same time. It seems impossible, right? It's not. You can easily do that by visiting Turkey; it spreads through both Europe and Asia. Turkey is a place of pleasant surprises with a rich blend of history. Believe us when we tell you it's not a place you want to miss. All set? Let’s get to it!

  • Istanbul - Of course, the largest city in Turkey is number one on the list. This is where most telenovelas are shot because it is Turkey’s center for film and television. If you are a movie lover, you can come across one of your favorite movie stars on set. Ensure you pay a visit to the Ottoman Topkapi Palace, the underground Basilica Cistern, and the Hagia Sophia where you find amazing intricate mosaics. You want to shop till you drop? The Grand Bazaar is there for you; and if you are in the mood for a cruise, take one down the Bosphorus.
  • Ankara - The next city to visit is Ankara, the second-largest city, as well as Turkey’s capital. Although Ankara is quieter than Istanbul, it is still a top destination for tourists, and it sure is not boring to visitors. The choice place to visit here is the Anitkabir (the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the great man who founded modern Turkey). There is some history you can learn there! Ankara’s Citadel is available to provide you with panoramic views of beautiful Ankara. You can take a walk down to Kizilay Square to have a taste of Turkey’s unique popular coffee in any of its many cafes and restaurants.
  • Trabzon - In Trabzon, you can combine the fun of experiencing two locations in one: The Black Sea in Turkey’s north-east and the Pontic Mountains. Note that this spot is for those who enjoy solitude because the ambience created by both structures is highly treasured by visitors. You can venture into the Sumela Monastery built by a Greek Orthodox Ministry. Again, visit Boztepe, where you can watch the sun set over the Black Sea.
