How about a trip? Adult children are a mothers joy and knowing that your grown kids want to spend time with you is the icing on a mother's life cake. (yes, it's a thing?) lol As a travel agency in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, many travelers ask for trip recommendations and we thought it fitting to write about Mother-Daughter vacation ideas for your Mother's Day gift. Here are our top 3 recommendations: - **San Francisco, California** – Imagine your Mom opening her Mother’s Day gift and seeing not only airline tickets to San Francisco but also trolley ride tickets across the Golden Gate Bridge? Talk about an out of the box type of Mother’s Day gift. - **Calistoga, California (wine country)** - Napa Valley tends to get all of the shout outs when it comes to wine tasting locations in California. However, Calistoga, California is one of those places that is truly breathtaking and worth the trip. It’s located about 25 miles northwest of Napa and is filled with mother-daughter type activities. Can you say “spa day?” Calistoga has well known mud and mineral baths as well as grape stomping activities that will surely take your moms breath away. - **Maui, Hawaii** – Why not take mom to the tropics for a truly memorable getaway that she’ll be talking about for years? Everyone loves Maui because of it’s incredible scenery, pristine waters and activities like no other. Take mom on a drive to Hana along the windy, popular road to Hana or bask in the sun with the sea turtles and catch a traditional luau while you watch the sunset? Regardless of the destination that you choose for a mother-daughter weekend getaway, your mom is sure to remember it forever.
