You Should Visit These Places in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one place that you should visit more than once but for your first-time visit, the following great places should top your list.

· Monteverde And Santa Elena

Strung between two lovingly preserved cloud forests, this destination consists of the Tico village of Santa Elena and the Quaker settlement of Monteverde, each with an eponymous cloud forest reserve. The cloud forests are premier destinations for everyone from budget backpackers to well-heeled retirees. It is the birthplace of the country’s eco-tourism and here you can go trekking at high altitudes and even straddle your feet across the continental divide if you so wish.

· Volcán Arenal

Although regular eruptions here ceased in 2010, Arenal remains an impressive landmark with its perfect conical shape sharply rising above the surrounding forests. There is also a national park that offers several excellent trails and the region is dotted with natural hot springs that you should visit and enjoy.

· Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio is one of Costa Rica’s very famous national parks. You can enjoy a great view of monkeys swinging through forest canopies as you take a hike along a shore lapped by waves. Quite scenic you’ll agree.

· Mal País And Santa Teresa

Mal País and Santa Teresa were once difficult to reach but now, thanks to tourism and great road networks, they offer some of the country’s best surf locations.

· Central Valley Thrills

If you love white water rafting, then this is the perfect destination for you. While Turrialba in the Central Valley might not look like much on the map, its surrounding area is home to one of the most intense white water rafting in the whole of Central America. It’s the perfect rush for that adrenaline rush that you need.

· Playa Sámara

Sámara is one of Costa Rica’s picture-perfect beaches. It peaceful but sophisticated and its strip of powder white sand between two turquoise seas makes it a great location for family vacations too. You’ll also find a host of trendy restaurants and cafes.
