women_in_need_of_adventureTo travel is to see yourself in a whole new light, it gives you a fresh perspective on the reality of any situation you may be in at any point in time. When it comes to travel abroad, anything can be a motivator; whether it’s to explore history, to have an adventure of a lifetime, or to a gastronomic experience that will change your perspective. Yet many are discouraged from travel for a multitude of reasons, the main one is not having anyone to go with. This is where group travel becomes essential. Traveling abroad in a group gives you a shared experience no one else can have. Here are a few benefits of group travel.

The Cost

First and foremost, you would be amazed with how cost effective traveling in a group can be. Your best bet in getting deals is to book with a travel agent in a group, many times they will do groups because they are getting a discounted rate.

All of the Details are Taken Care Of

When you travel in a group tour, all of the details are taken care of. You will have a dedicated guide or tour conductor who knows the destination, speaks the language and makes sure you don't have to worry about details and can focus on enjoying your vacation.

Safety in Numbers

When you go with a group, there is security, you know exactly where you are going and have someone to advise you on what you should do in an emergency. You have a built in support group and you can go to places that you might be nervous going to alone.

Shared Experiences

It’s the excitement of going to a castle that can only be seen in a certain tour. Many times these hidden gems are near to impossible to explore if you are traveling solo. Plus, sharing experiences with others gives you secrets no one else can share aside from your group. Inside jokes, a special food place and more.

Where to Look For Group Trips

Start with local meet up groups, check out local travel clubs and see if they have similar interests as you do. Here is Baton Rouge, LA, our very own Myrna Arroyo has started her own Travel club called Women In Need of Adventure Travel Club. This group is open to women who want to share travel experiences with other women both in Louisiana and around the globe.
